MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) IN CLINICAL EMBRYOLOGY
The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Clinical Embryology is an internationally recognized postgraduate program designed to provide advanced academic knowledge and intensive practical training in human embryology. This program prepares graduates, clinicians, and life science professionals to excel in embryology laboratories and assisted reproductive technology (ART) centers.
Program Objective
By the end of the program, students will:
Acquire in-depth knowledge of Human Reproductive Biology, Human Genetics, Infertility, Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), and Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD).
Receive high-quality, specialized education in advanced Clinical Embryology.
Develop strong expertise in Embryology Laboratory practices, including IVF, ICSI, embryogenesis, implantation, cryopreservation of gametes and embryos, and embryo biopsy techniques.
Gain advanced skills in the micromanipulation of gametes and embryos.
Build comprehensive understanding of Andrology Laboratory techniques, such as semen analysis, sperm retrieval procedures, sperm function testing, and semen preparation for various IVF protocols.
Gain detailed insight into male and female reproductive systems and the pathological conditions contributing to infertility.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply:
B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university in Reproduction, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Physiology, or any other Life Science-related discipline
MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS
Pharmacy or Nursing or any other equivalent qualification
Minimum 45% aggregate marks required
International students are also eligible. Admissions for foreign nationals will be subject to eligibility approval and norms of Shridhar University, Pilani (Rajasthan).
Course Duration
The M.Sc. in Clinical Embryology is a 2-year program, divided into 4 semesters, each of six months duration.
Each semester includes theoretical and practical examinations
A research project is mandatory in the final semester to develop analytical, research, and scientific writing skills
